Chengdu Vcare Semiconductor has officially released its new wearable solution VC9213A + VP60A4. As an authorized distributor, we’re bringing you a first-look technical brief to help brands quickly evaluate and deploy this “high accuracy × ultra-low power × compact” health-monitoring SoC solution.

VC9213A: Integrates 3 physical channels + 3 configurable logic channels
VP60A4: 4-element high-sensitivity photodiode array
Supports exercise heart rate (HR), resting SpO₂, liveness/wear detection, skin temperature monitoring.
Fits multiple wearable form factors: smartwatches / bands / TWS / chest-strap HR monitors.
Uses QFN 3.0 × 3.0 × 0.55 mm, 20-pin package; board area as low as 9 mm².

3) Typical Hardware Architecture

Recommended decoupling capacitors close to the pins: C1 100 nF / C2 1 µF / C3 100 nF.

Exposed thermal pad on the bottom: leave floating to simplify inter-layer vias in PCB stack-up.

4) Optics & Mechanical Design

Provides two optical layouts: watch (Layout 1) and band (Layout 2).

Within 1 mm of the LED-PD region: no digital traces; keep EPDN/EPDP at least ≥ 40 mil from GND.
